" Thursday's Child,
How far to go?
Foolish pride,
A hard row to hoe,
Runaway,
Across the cracks,
No goodbye,
No coming back. "

The comings and goings of a back-yard apartment on Awolowo Road have not passed unremarked by concerned members of the old Ikoyi Guard. It is rumoured that Dream Merchant, sometime Guitarist and all-round Presumptuous Igbo Boy (P.I.B), Chuma Obumselu last heard on the 2005 underground favourite Lagos Daydreaming has been spotted trading unmarked CD cases with Afro-percussion High Priest Lekan Babalola. In between Mr Babalola winning a Grammy and touring the world with the fabulous Ms. Cassandra Wilson and flash mob musical evenings at the Awolowo Road premises (AKA Idemili Space Station IV), there has also been talk of wondrous hours spent in a dank and humid peeling labyrinth of a studio overlooking 5 Cowrie Creek and a instant Apala/Blues Classic called 'Sola' that seems to channel Bill Withers by way of Ayinde Bakare. Add Duro Ikujenyo, Afro-beat Producer and former secretary of Fela Kuti’s Young African Pioneers to the mix and throw in the spiritual guidance of legendary guitarist, Mr. Joey Ducane and the brilliant gifts of Wole Oni, Niyi Ajileye, Tosin Alade, Wura Samba, Wale Saboyinde and Kate Luxmore and the authority’s concerns do not seem entirely unjustified…’
